Latest News: OCP is open for submissions! OC puts out the call for new authors to submit their work.
What We're Looking For:
At this time, OCP is only accepting novel-length fiction with a minimum word count of 60,000.
All genres of fiction will be considered.
All material should be the author's own original work. Stories that contain scenes or plotlines from previously published work are in breach of copyright law and are not acceptable.
A literary agent is not required in order to submit.
How to Submit Your Work:
All materials must be submitted via email to: submissions@orangecatpublishing.com.
The subject line of the email must read: "[Genre]: [Title], [Author]"
Indicating which genre your work is ensures it reaches the proper editor.
The body of the email should be a query letter for the attached work.
The query letter should outline pertinent facts about yourself as a writer and include a brief synopsis of the attached work.
The synopsis should give a clear idea of both your plot and characters and be no more than two pages.
The complete manuscript should be sent as an attachment to the email query letter.
All material must be double-spaced in 12pt Times New Roman font.
Submitted works must be in one of the following formats: .odt, .doc, .sdw
Please do not include cover art with the query email.
What to Expect:
All material will be evaluated in as timely a fashion as volume allows. You will be notified by email as soon as your work has been received. Please do not contact us regarding the status of your manuscript.
